About Dealing with God

Dealing with God was create to help Christian leaders learn how to meet God in a transformational way within challenging circumstances. The key to dealing with God is going to the heart level. That means going beyond blaming circumstances or others (the external level), and beyond even what we need to do differently next time (the tactical level). Dealing with God at the heart level means asking,

“How does God want to shape who I am through this?”
“What does the way I am responding reveal about me?”
“If God had custom designed these circumstances for my growth, what would that mean?”

King David is the biblical exemplar of Dealing with God: he was quick to allow his circumstances as well as input from those around him to lay bare his heart to God. David is known as “a man after God’s own heart” precisely for this ability to go deep beyond the surface and allow God to shape his identity.
